Terms of Use (EULA) for MemoKey

Effective Date: December 3, 2025

By downloading or using the app MemoKey - Quick Notes Keyboard ("the App"), these terms will automatically apply to you. Please read them carefully before using the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MemoKey, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not use the App.

2. License to Use

Homielab grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use the App on your mobile device strictly in accordance with these Terms. You are not allowed to:

  • Copy or modify the App, any part of the App, or our trademarks.
  • Attempt to extract the source code of the App.
  • Translate the App into other languages or make derivative versions.

The App itself, and all the trademarks, copyright, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to it, still belong to Homielab.

3. User-Generated Content

MemoKey is a productivity tool that allows you to create, store, and paste text notes ("Content").

  • Ownership: You retain full ownership of the notes and text you create using the App. Homielab claims no ownership over your data.
  • Responsibility: You are solely responsible for the Content you create. Since MemoKey is a private, offline-first tool, Homielab does not monitor, review, or censor your Content. You agree not to use the App to generate content that is illegal, offensive, or violates the rights of others.

4. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

MemoKey offers a "PRO" version that can be unlocked via In-App Purchase.

  • Payment Processing: Payments are processed securely via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store using your Apple ID or Google account. Homielab does not directly process payments or store your financial information.
  • Refunds: Refund requests are handled by the respective Store (Apple or Google) in accordance with their refund policies. Homielab cannot directly issue refunds.
  • Subscriptions (if applicable): If you purchase a recurring subscription, it will automatically renew unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage your subscriptions in your device's Account Settings.
  • Lifetime Purchase: If you purchase a "Lifetime" license, it is a one-time payment that grants you access to PRO features for the lifetime of the App's availability.

5. Updates & Availability

We are committed to ensuring that the App is as useful and efficient as possible. For that reason, we reserve the right to make changes to the App or to charge for its services, at any time and for any reason. We will never charge you for the App or its services without making it very clear to you exactly what you’re paying for.

We do not guarantee that the App will always be available or compatible with every device or operating system update.

6. External Services (Cloud Backup)

The App integrates with third-party services (Google Drive and iCloud) for data backup. Use of these services is subject to their respective Terms of Service and Privacy Policies. Homielab is not responsible for any data loss caused by these third-party cloud providers.

7. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." Homielab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of data, loss of profits, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the App.

Since MemoKey relies on your device's system (iOS/Android) to function as a keyboard, we are not responsible for errors caused by operating system glitches or device incompatibility.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update our Terms of Use from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms of Use on this page.
